Mary Ndunge Nguli.
Having started schooling at Kitise Primary Scholl in Makueni and then pursued her high school education at Kenya High School, Mary proceeded to gain her BA and MA degrees in Economics from the University of Nairobi(UoN). Still not having satisfied her intellectual quests, she is currently pursuing her PhD in Economics specializing in Public Finance and Econometrics.
She is also currently employed as Senior Economist – Ministry of Finance, Economic Affairs Department.
As part of her key Responsibilities: Mary is in charge of macroeconomic analysis and Budget issues, revenue forecasting and tax policy. Specific lines of duty include, macroeconomic modeling, setting revenue targets and forecasting tax revenue, preparing recent economic development policy briefs and preparation of fiscal outturn tables.
As a key member of the Budget Committee, she is heavily involved in analysis of budget proposals and she is solely responsible for preparation of the Estimates of Revenue book and analysis of the revenue implications of the proposed measures. Mary is also involved in negotiations on Avoidance of Double Taxation and EAC customs management issues.
In service, she is also a part time lecturer at Catholic University of East Africa(CUEA). She brings with her immeasurable experience gained in her 20 years of work.
