Eunice M Kumunga
Started her education in Kiburu Primary School and completed in 1986.
She then proceeded to Kabare Girls High School in Embu where she completed her KCSE in 1990.
She proceeded to holding a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a Bachelor’s degree in Science (Survey) and to add onto that, a Certificate in Environmental Impact Analysis and Environmental Audit. Compared to her peers she is considered greatly computer literate and has hands-on-experience in technical software like GIS, AutoCAD and SPSS among others.
In her vocation she has prepared various town developments, zoning, strategic, master, transportation and slum upgrading plans.
Having studied survey as her first degree, it has greatly empowered her to better understand and apply the adopted planning skills and implementation of the plans.
Still her experience traverses her interrelated fields of study which gives her an advantage in supervising the administration and delivery of services and these feat testified by the completion of the following projects; Awendo Town Physical Development plan (2010-2011), Macalder Town Development plan (2009-2010), Rongo Town Physical Development Plan (2008-2009) and Kisumu Metropolitan Integrated Structure Plan (2009-2010).
Between October 2006 and June 2007, Eunice prepared Ngong zoning plan, Kiserian local physical development plan and Hill area local physical development plan.
Currently she’s working as the District Physical Planning Officer- Migori County and is partially involved in the following projects:
- Preparation of Migori Town Physical Development plan
- Preparation of Kibigori plantation Settlement Scheme-Kisumu (Advisory Plan) Eunice also undertook to study on Study on the Transport Master Plan for the Nairobi Metropolitan Area
